These terms explain how this educational archive should be interpreted and used.
1. Educational purpose
The website provides educational and research-oriented information. It is not an official government heritage register and does not confer legal status on a site.
2. Source responsibility
Claims should be traceable to authoritative or scholarly sources. Users must verify current conditions and exact citations before using information in academic, legal, conservation or publication contexts.
3. Status labels
Labels such as Lost, Ruined, Abandoned, Endangered, Partially Surviving, Archaeologically Documented and Under Conservation are descriptive archive categories. They do not automatically mean that an authority has assigned that legal status.
4. No fabricated history
The archive prohibits invented dates, discoveries, excavations, quotations, coordinates and references. Where evidence is insufficient, the appropriate label is “Source verification required” or “Under Research.”
5. Responsible archaeology
Do not excavate, collect artifacts, enter restricted areas or disturb archaeological deposits without the required permissions. Archaeological context is a non-renewable source of information.
6. Images
Images should be credited to their source and used according to their license or permission. This project prioritizes official collections and open-license/public-domain material. If an image-credit error is identified, contact the archive.
7. Corrections
Corrections should include evidence and a reliable reference. Historical interpretation can change when new evidence becomes available.
8. External links
External sources are maintained by their respective institutions. This archive is not responsible for changes to third-party content.

Pakistan Lost Heritage is an educational research resource. Content is provided for learning and documentation and should not be treated as legal permission to enter, excavate, collect, modify or photograph a protected heritage site.
Users must follow applicable Pakistani laws, site regulations, access permissions, copyright rules and community protocols. No part of the website authorizes removal of antiquities or archaeological material.
Corrections
Historical and archaeological interpretation changes as new evidence appears. We encourage source-based corrections and reserve the right to update or qualify records.

External links are provided for research navigation. Their content, licensing and availability are controlled by their respective publishers.
9. Photographs
Photographs are loaded directly from Wikimedia Commons. Each image remains subject to the license stated on its own Commons file page. This site does not claim ownership of third-party photographs and will remove or correct an image on request if a licensing or attribution issue is identified.
